Where does CBN come from?
Cannabinol (CBN) is created when THC from the Hemp plant cures or ages.
What does CBN do?
It interacts with the body’s natural endocannabinoid system as well as the immune system. It can affect the functions of many hormones and neurotransmitters, that in turn influence appetite, cognition and focus, energy, mood, pain to name a few.
What is CBN good for?
Most take CBN mainly as a sleep aid. It does also boast a variety of the healing properties of CBD; however, a majority of people believe that it possesses significantly enhanced relaxing and soporific properties — even more than CBD.
How Do I take CBN?
The most common way to ingest CBN is orally, as an oil; with other administration methods – such as vaping or smoking – still in development.

How is CBN made?
When THC becomes oxidized – heated, then exposed to oxygen over time – CBN results. Usually found in trace amounts within the hemp plant, CBN can still be extracted with minimal THC inclusions.
Is CBN psychoactive?
A mild, psychoactive cannabinoid found in trace amounts mainly in aged plants and heat treated hemp plants, CBN’s psychoactive effects rank extremely mild compared to its cannabis counterpart.
Is it possible to have THC-free CBN?
The quick answer is “No”.
CBN comes from the decomposition of THC in the hemp plant when heated, which then goes exposed to oxygen over time during the oxidation phase.
Cannabinol extract therefore will contain a very small trace amount of THC which may not be decomposed; these trace levels amount to only a very small, nearly negligible fraction compared to other plants, for example cannabis, where THC levels soar high.
Can I buy CBN?
While medical grade CBN isolate and oil may be hunted down in rare instances, still, it remains a needle in a haystack – both at storefronts and online.
